Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested by the police in India, – Nwite Sunday, 32, and Nduba Joseph, 25, for drug trafficking.

According to source, the two Nigerian men were taken into custody with 50 gram of cocaine worth Rs. 2.5 lakh (N1.2m), from an apartment in Indiranagar where they resided.

A joint commissioner, crime, Ravindra Yadav, told The Hindu that the police also seized their travel documents for further investigations.

He said the accused confessed that they used to get cocaine from their contact, known as Ben from T.C. Palya, and sell it.


“The police have booked the two men under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and remanded them in judicial custody.

“Efforts are on to apprehend the fleeing suspect, Ben,” he added.
