More trouble is looming for dethroned Miss Anambra 2015, Chidinma Okeke as a third brutal video more is set to be leaked and is reportedly last over an hour.

Vanguard reports that a source in Awka, the capital of Anambra state who pledged anonymity said that the current trending videos online are mild and alleged that Chidinma also engaged in more acts which lasted over one hour. And that the part 3 of her sexcapades which may surface soon, is ‘more brutal’ than what was seen in the first two videos that have been released.

The source went ahead to reveal that the ex-beauty queen knows the person releasing the video as against what she claimed. He said the whole episode is as a result of a deal gone wrong, a deal made between the beauty queen and one chief, whose name is being fiercely guarded.

The source said:
“First, this is an investment gone wrong. Chief (name not disclosed) sponsored Chidinma Okeke to win the pageant. Chief spent up to N 2million to ensure she emerged as the winner against other beautiful contestants. Chief also budgeted for her wardrobe and makeover pre and post beauty contest. The money was released in trenches to Miss Anambra. Chief also took her to various countries including Germany where she met other models based on the contract terms which Miss Chidinma signed with Chief.

“Part of the agreement stipulates that Chief would make her a big model and whatever proceeds that come during her reign would be shared as specified in the contract terms. Chidinma consented and signed the deal.

“Chidinma emerged as the winner of Miss Anambra, got higher connections and wanted to opt out from the contract without repaying all the expenses Chief incurred. Chief warned of the consequences, but she remained adamant. Chief released a picture to her requesting she comply with the payment and remit the money she is holding before her tenure comes to an end. Chidinma feigned ignorance and even boasted that Chief cannot do anything.

It was alleged that she disclosed to a close friend that if chief tried to do anything, they would get him arrested. That was the beginning of the leak. Information available also claimed that the current trending video online is mild. That they have one showing longer secx action by Chidinma.

“Based on the above information, and the fact that Chidinma was a consenting adult as at the time the contract was signed, which reasonably supports the logic behind Chidinma’s silence towards naming the perpetrators; I will advise the family to quit the threat they are making to the man and settle this amicably off the media to avoid further embarrassment for my state, other ‘responsible’ beauty pageants because this is seriously casting them in bad light.”

The Nigerian currency, the Naira is inching towards the N280 to the dollar opening rate at the Financial Markets Dealers Qoute (FMDQ).

The naira on Wednesday closed at N304.75 to the dollar at the official interbank market from N305 recorded on Tuesday.

At the Bureau De Change (BDC) window, the naira exchanged at N385 to the dollar, while the pound sterling and the Euro traded at N550 and N504, respectively.

Trading at the parallel market saw the naira exchanging at N450, N545 and N495 to the dollar, pound sterling and the Euro, respectively.

Traders at the market expressed optimism that the licensing of additional 20 International Money Transfer Operators (IMTO) would bring more liquidity to the market.

NAN reports that in a bid to conserve the nation’s foreign reserve and to liberalise the foreign exchange market, the CBN is interfacing with IMTOs to sell the proceeds of Diaspora remittances to BDCs.

The decision of the CBN has borne very positive fruits as the naira continues to appreciate at the forex market.

A new report from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected Nigeria as Africa's biggest economy, in spite of its current challenges.

Nigeria is placed ahead of South Africa and Egypt which are second and third respectively.

In August, Nigeria was reported to have lost its position as Africa's biggest economy to South Africa, following the recalculation of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

But the IMF's World Economic Outlook for October, puts Nigeria's GDP at 415.08 billion dollars, from 493.83 billion dollars in 2015, while South Africa's GDP was put at 280.36 billion dollars, from 314.73 billion dollars in 2015.

According to the report, Egypt's 2016 data is not available, but its 2015 size remained at 330.159 dollars while that of Algeria, one of the largest economies on the continent, is put at 168.318 billion dollars.

The United States, China and Japan maintain their spots as the largest economies in the world, ahead of Germany, United Kingdom and France.

According to a review in September, the current economic recession will outlast 2016, with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contraction of 1.7 per cent.

The IMF had predicted that Nigeria's economy would grow away from a recession in 2017.

The country last witnessed a recession, for less than a year, in 1991, and experienced a prolonged one that started in 1982 and lasted until 1984.

President Muhammadu Buhari's administration has so far disbursed over N700 billion in capital expenditure this year, part of a record N6.06 trillion (30 billion dollars) budget for 2016.

Susanna Reid was left blushing on today's Good Morning Britain, after Justin Timberlake called her a "super-hot grandmother".

Justin and co-star Anna Kendrick recorded a video message to promote their animated movie Trolls, and believe it or not, Susanna is actually part of the voice cast, playing JT's grandma.

Naturally, the Hollywood stars talked up the GMB presenter...

"Good morning, Britain!" Justin said, holding a picture of her. "Susanna, look, you're here with us. You play my grandmother in Trolls which is - you look way too young."

Anna chipped in: "Your grandmother is a babe."

"I have a super-hot grandmother," Justin added.

Piers Morgan couldn't help but be impressed with the message, before throwing in a naughty joke.

"Oh my god, this is astonishing," he said. "That is very cool, Timberlake doing the whole you-look-too-young-to-be-a-granny."

"I can retire now," an embarrassed Susanna replied.

Piers said: "And he's right in your target age range, isn't he?!"

It also features the voices of Zooey Deschanel, Russell Brand, James Corden, Gwen Stefani, and John Cleese.

JT and Anna popped by The Graham Norton Show late last month, where the 'Can't Stop the Feeling' singer was game to dance with the audience.

He also admitted that he didn't know much about the Eurovision Song Contest at all before he agreed to perform there.

"Not before I said yes to it," he admitted. "Then, when I told people I was doing it they would respond with, 'Oh, why are you doing that show?'

"I thought, 'Why not? A lot of people watch it!' It was a lot of fun."

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has arrested a 56-year-old man, Christopher Nnabuihe, for selling faked Peak Milk.

The suspect, who lives at 42, Cameroun Road in Calabar, Cross River State, has confessed to the crime.

A NAFDAC statement made available to Southern City News on Tuesday quoted Nnabuihe as confessing that he procured cheap powdered milk and branded and branded it as Peak Milk, which is more expensive.

“I buy the already printed (Peak Milk) 440g packs from Ariaria Relieve Market in Aba, Abia State and bring it to Calabar for refilling. I seal them up with candle light.

“One 50 kilogram of the milk will fill 27 pieces and that is two cartons and three pieces. I sell one carton of the fake Peak Milk for N6,000 and make a profit of N1,000 per carton.

“You can only suspect it to be counterfeit through the taste because the packaging for the fake and the original is the same,” he was quoted as saying.

The Cross River State Coordinator of NAFDAC, Dr. Isaac Kolawole, said the agency acted on a tip-off to arrest Nnabuihe.

“We have been receiving complaints of adulterated Peak milk from consumers, which made us to swing into action. The suspect was arrested when he was supplying the products to departmental shops.
“Taking such an unwholesome and questionable product may result in some form of health problems as nobody can vouch for the content of the fake product and the good hygienic practice. We will carry out laboratory analysis on the product,” he said.

Kolawole warned that the agency would continue to track persons who indulge in adulteration of NAFDAC regulated products for arrest and prosecution.

He said the prosecution of Nnabuihe had commenced at a Magistrate’s Court in Calabar while judgment had been fixed for November 28, 2016.

Executive Secretary, ‎National Commission for Mass Literacy (NMEC), Prof. Abba Haladu, has disclosed that Nigeria has about 50 million number of non-literate adults in the country.

Haladu said this on Tuesday in Abuja to mark the 50th International Literacy Day with the theme: “Reading the Past, Writing the Future.”

He noted Nigeria was experiencing increased numbers of non-literate adults, while other countries were making progress.

Prof. Haladu said: “Tremendous progress has been made in the fight against illiteracy in the last five decades, yet the world is still home to at least 758 million illiterate adults, and about two thirds of them are women.

“In Nigeria in particular, the illiteracy situation is still troubling. With an estimated figure of over 50 million adult illiterates and 11.5 million out of school children, the problem of illiteracy remains one of Nigeria’s greatest obstacles to development.

“In fact, UNESCO 2016, contends that as other regions of the world are recording progress in the fight against illiteracy, Sub-Saharan Africa, in which Nigeria has the highest number of population, is unfortunately experiencing rising absolute numbers of non-literate adults.”

Haladu, urged government at all levels, non governmental organisations and the organised private sector, to ensure the necessary material support needed to eradicate illiteracy were adequately provided.

In his address, Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, reiterated Nigeria’s commitment towards addressing the challenges of adult literacy.

Represented by the Director, Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Ann Okonkwo, the minister said adult illiteracy would affect the status of women, fertility, children’s development, economic productivity and political processes.

“Efforts would be made to strengthen equity and access, equality, funding, teacher quality, effective curriculum implementation, human resource development and provision of infrastructure, to equip young people and adult learners with the right knowledge and skills for global citizenship”, he added.

Meanwhile, a former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, Prof. Peter Okebukola, has predicted that many parents will by next year not be able to pay the tuition fees of their children studying in universities.

Contrary to the popular believe that politicians are corrupt, a member of the Jama’atul Izalatulk Bid’a wa Iqamatus-Sunnah (JIBWIS), Dr Bashir Isyaku has said that religious leaders are more corrupt than political players.

Bahir made this known at a workshop organized for religious leaders by the Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Research and Training, on Tuesday.

He said the flamboyant lifestyle of religious leaders was evidence of their corrupt practices

“Ask any Imam or Pastor how much he earns per annum to justify his lifestyle. They won’t mention any job or vocation, yet they are the ones living such expensive life; some are undertaking expensive trips with their families abroad. They are just living on the religion,” he said.

He added that religious leaders, who were supposed to direct people on how to worship God had deviated and were promoting and celebrating corruption.

He, therefore, stated that instead of discussing the role of religious leaders in fighting corruption which was the theme of the workshop, the leaders should first be sanitized to be free of corruption before they could be used to fight it.

Speaking earlier, the Director of the Centre Professor Haruna Wakili said one of the mandates of the centre was to ensure that governance was done correctly without promoting or condoning corrupt practices.

The attack came amid speculation that many abducted Chibok girls are unwilling to leave their captors.

Around 13 Nigerian army soldiers were wounded after Boko Haram militants attacked an army base in Borno, while several others are been missing, an army spokesperson said on Monday (17 October). The attack came a week after the militants released 21 Chibok schoolgirls who were abducted more than two years ago.

The Nigerian government is hoping that 83 other girls held captive with the militants would also be released soon. However, a local community leader in Chibok said that many of the abducted girls do not want to leave their captors, fearing that they would not be accepted in the society.

Pogu Bitrus, chairman of the Chibok Development Association said that one reason for the girls not willing to return home could be that they have been radicalised by the Islamist militants. He also said that since many of the abducted girls are married to the militants and have children with them, they could be ashamed of being labeled as wives of terrorists and hence would not want to return.

He added that around 60 girls, who managed to escape their captors after a raid was conducted by government forces – immediately after their kidnapping in 2014 – had to face insults in Chibok and were labeled "Boko Haram wives".

At least 20 of those girls have been sent to the US for education. He suggested that the same needs to be done for the released Chibok girls to save them from being further humiliated.

Meanwhile, the latest Boko Haram attack came from a group of "suspected escaping remnants of Boko Haram terrorists", Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, said on Tuesday.

As preparations for the World Cup qualifier between the Super Eagles and the Fennec Foxes of Algeria gathers momentum,ex -international, Clement Temile, has warned Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr to quickly find a solution to the shaky Eagles defence.

Nigeria will host Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo on November 12.

Temile, a golden boot award winner at the 1984 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, in an interview in Lagos, noted that the Super Eagles defence is the weakest link of the team as was noticed in the impressive 2-1 away win over the Chipolopolo of Zambia.

According to the former Bendel Insurance of Nigeria and Beitar Netanya of Israel winger, any good side with a very potent attack could take advantage of the leaky defence to punish the Super Eagles.

“The victory in Zambia was fantastic. I just want them to be consistent with the form they are now. You can see there is life in the team now. I think the enthusiasm is so high that if they keep it up there is no team that can beat them both home and away.

“I must however, say that we should just watch our back because you could see that our keeper was very fantastic in Zambia. He did very well by making some breath-taking saves that day. If not for the goalkeeper, it would have been a different story. Nevertheless, that’s why he is a goalkeeper; that is why he is there and that is his job in the team.

“But our defence need to be touched a little bit as far as I’m concerned. From the midfield to the attack; they were just fantastic. We just need to put some finishing touches in the defence line to make it stronger,” he said the UEFA Grade A licensed coach .

An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, witness, Teslim Ajuwon, yesterday, told a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, that Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, under Patrick Akpobolokemi as Director General, moved the sum of N8.5 billion, into the account of the Joint Task Force, JTF, Operation Puelo Shield.

Ajuwon, a Compliance Officer with a first generation bank, stated this in his evidence at the commencement of trial of a former Commander of the Military Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta, Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Atewe. Atewe is being tried alongside Patrick Akpobolokemi, Kime Engozu and Josephine Otuaga over N8.5 billion fraud. They are been prosecuted by the EFCC on 11 counts bordering on the offence.

Ajuwon, led in evidence at the resumed hearing in the case, the prosecution counsel, Mr Rotimi Oyedepo, narrated that on the whole, NIMASA made an in-flow of cash to the tune of N8.5 billion into the account of the JTF, Operation Puelo Shield.

The United States (U.S.) will assist Nigeria to repatriate its fund stashed abroad by corrupt public office holders and politicians, its Special Representative to Muslim communities Shaarik Zafar said yesterday.

Zafar, who spoke in an interactive session with reporters in Kano, explained that the U.S. was committed to fast-tracking the process of bringing back the stolen money.

According to him, “before the stolen money could be brought back to Nigeria, certain legal procedures needed to be followed and that is what the U.S. is facilitating.’’

Zafar was optimistic that the fight against corruption in Nigeria would succeed.

He was in the city for an inaugural workshop on anti-corruption tool for religious leaders.

The workshop was organised by Zafar’s Office under the U.S. Department of State.

He said if corruption could be effectively tackled, the country would witness socio-economic growth.

“I am optimistic that if corruption can be tackled, the trend is positive for Nigeria based on the commitment,’’ Zafar said.

According to him, the U.S. was committed toward assisting Nigeria in the fight against corruption.

He added: “Nigeria’s success is America’s success; hence our decision to work with government, civil society organisations and religious groups on areas to prevent corruption.”

The U.S. envoy said the workshop would address how religious communities could work together to combat corruption, promote accountability and encourage transparency.

“I have a global mandate. So, I will encourage a continued focus by religious leaders on the critical challenge of combating corruption. This is not only because of their moral voice. Critically, religious leaders speak a common language with their communities.

“They also have incomparable access, unique networks and level of respect that can help in this common battle against corruption and to promote accountability,”  Zafar stated.

Mrs. Chika Orji, 41, who was arrested by policemen attached to Area ‘J’ Command, Ajah, Lagos State, for allegedly hiring assassins to kill her husband of 14 years over a disagreement which led to their separation, has said she was a frustrated housewife but that she only sent the thugs to beat him.

“He was served with a court warrant over the issue, but he also refused to show up. Along the line, he sold the house we both built for N85 million, but never gave me any dime.
“He also stopped our children from visiting me and any attempt to see them always resulted in beating. Out of frustration, I told Ekene, our carpenter, to beat him up. I did not pay him or hire anyone to kill him. I am a frustrated woman and I am sorry for everything.”

However, the arrested suspect, Bright Ikechukwu, insisted that he was contracted by Ekene to kill Mr. Orji, on the instructions of his estranged wife. 'She paid us to kill him', he said.
